Pooled Terms of Service
Effective date: 24 September 2026. Last updated: 24 September 2026. In the app these are called the Terms of Use. They cover the Pooled app for Android.
The short version.
- Pooled is a ledger: a notebook for money and shopping. It is not a bank and not a lender, and it never moves money.
- It is free during early access. No billing is connected, so nothing can be charged.
- You must be 18 or older to use it.
- A shared space shows everyone in it your name, your picture, what you record, your notes and your receipt photos. A personal wallet shows nobody anything.
- No harassment, no hate or threats, nothing sexual, nothing illegal, and no private details belonging to somebody who is not there to agree.
- Anyone you share a space with can report you and block you, from inside the app. There is no moderation team, and we do not read ledgers.
- What you record is yours. Export it, and delete it whenever you like.
1. Who we are, and how these terms fit together
Pooled is published by Moiasun LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, trading as SunnyOrbit, of 16192 Coastal Highway, Lewes, DE 19958, United States. “We” and “us” mean Moiasun LLC. “You” means the person using the app.
These are the app-specific terms for Pooled. The SunnyOrbit Terms of Service are the general terms for all our apps and our website, and they apply to Pooled too. Where the two say different things about Pooled, these terms take precedence. The Pooled Privacy Policy explains what happens to your data and is part of these terms.
Pooled is in early access. Features may change, be added or be withdrawn. We will not remove data you have already recorded in order to do it.
2. When these terms apply, and accepting them
They apply to everyone who uses Pooled, and they matter most the moment you create or join a shared space. That is the point at which what you write becomes visible to other people. The app asks you to accept these terms before it lets you through either of those two doors, and it remembers that you did. By using Pooled at all, you also agree to them.
A personal wallet is not covered by the rules below about content, for the plain reason that nobody else can see it. What you write in your own wallet is your business, as long as using the app is lawful.
3. Who can use Pooled
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to use Pooled. It is not directed at children. If we learn that someone under that age is using it with an account, we will close the account and delete its data.
You can use Pooled without an account, and if you do, nothing you record leaves your phone. If you make an account:
- give accurate details and keep your email address current, because it is how you recover access and how we can tell a request is yours;
- keep your sign-in details and any app-lock PIN or password to yourself, and do not use somebody else's account;
- tell us promptly at support@sunnyorbitapps.com if you think someone else has got into your account.
4. Your licence to use the app
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use Pooled on devices you control, for your own purposes. That licence does not let you sell, rent or sub-licence the app; reverse-engineer or decompile it, except where the law expressly allows it; remove the notices in it; or use it to build a competing product. We keep all rights in the app, the Pooled name and its branding that we do not expressly give you here.
If you downloaded Pooled from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply. Google is not responsible for the app or for these terms.
5. What Pooled is, and what it is not
Pooled is a record-keeping tool. It records amounts you enter yourself. It does not lend money, arrange or broker loans, process payments, transfer or hold money, check credit, or give financial advice. It is not a bank, a payment service or a lender, and it holds no funds. “Sending” an amount inside the app moves a number in a ledger and nothing else. Any real payment between you and another person happens outside Pooled and is entirely between you.
Lent & borrowed records debts that already exist; Pooled never moves money. Amounts you record there are notes between you and people you know. Pooled does not offer, arrange or underwrite credit of any kind, and it does not verify or enforce what you record.
Balances, budgets and reports are calculated from what you and the members of your spaces entered. We do not check them. They are not financial, tax, accounting or legal advice, and they are not evidence of a legally enforceable debt. Check anything you are going to rely on, especially before paying somebody or filing anything official.
6. Payments
Pooled takes no payments. No billing is connected to the app, so there is no price, no trial, no subscription and nothing to cancel. Features marked “Pro” can be switched on in the app without paying while early access lasts, and no money changes hands.
If paid features come later, they will be sold through Google Play. We will show the price in the app before anything is charged, and nothing will be charged unless you agree to it. Google Play's own terms and refund rules will apply to those purchases as well as these terms.
7. Your content, and shared spaces
We do not own what you record and we make no claim to it. What you put into Pooled, such as entries, notes, receipt photos, budgets, lists and lent & borrowed records, stays yours. If you make an account, you give us permission to store, copy and show that content only as far as we need to run the service for you: to back it up, to sync it to your devices, and to show it to the members of a shared space you put it in.
A shared space is, by design, shared. Anything you put into one (a display name, a profile picture, a space name, an entry, a note, a grocery item, a receipt photograph) is content the other members will see. Entries you added to a shared space stay visible to its other members after you leave or delete your account, because their own records have to keep adding up. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is removed and what stays.
If you record somebody else's details, such as the name or photo of the person in a lent & borrowed record, you must have the right to do so, and you must remove them if that person asks you to.
8. What is not allowed
The following are not allowed in anything you put into a shared space, and an account used for them may be closed:
- Harassment or bullying. Content aimed at a person to demean, intimidate, pile on to or single them out.
- Hate or threats. Attacks on people for who they are, and threats of violence against anybody.
- Sexual or explicit content. Pooled is a household ledger. There is no place in it for sexual material of any kind, and material involving a minor will be reported to the authorities.
- Illegal or dangerous content. Fraud, the sale of drugs or weapons, and anything else unlawful where you or the people you share with live.
- Somebody else's private details. Documents, addresses, identity numbers or photographs of a person who has not agreed to be in your ledger. This includes photographing a receipt that carries another person's details, and adding a photograph of somebody to a lent & borrowed record.
Some more follow from what the app is. Do not use a shared space to deceive the people in it about money: an entry that misstates what was spent is a lie told to everyone whose balance depends on it. Do not use Pooled to pressure, shame or threaten anybody over a debt, or to collect debts for anyone. Do not impersonate anybody. And do not try to get into accounts or data that are not yours, interfere with the service or put load on it beyond ordinary use, or upload anything malicious. Found a security problem? Please tell us at support@sunnyorbitapps.com before telling anyone else.
9. How to report, and what happens
In the app, open a shared space, go to Members, and use the menu beside a person's name, or use the menu on somebody else's entry. Report asks which of the five things above is wrong and then does two things:
- It blocks that person for you, straight away.
- It writes the report out so you can send it on, through your phone's share sheet: to the owner of the space, who can remove a member, or to us at support@sunnyorbitapps.com.
We will not pretend otherwise: there is no moderation desk and no queue, and the app does not send reports to us by itself. We do not read ledgers, so we only know about a problem when somebody tells us. When you send us a report, we look at what you sent. If we need to, we may look at the specific content it points to, in the cloud copy of that space. What we can do about it is close the account of somebody using this app for the things listed above. The person who can act fastest is the owner of the space, because removing a member is their power and it takes effect for everybody.
If the person you want to report is the owner, blocking them and leaving the space are yours to do without asking anybody, and writing to us is the other route. Leaving a space does not delete anything: the records stay, and so does the ledger's arithmetic.
10. What blocking does
Blocking is your own decision about what you are willing to look at. It hides that person's profile picture, their notes and their receipt photographs from your screen. Nobody is told, and they stay in the space.
It changes no money. Not an amount, not a transfer, not a balance, yours or anybody else's. That is deliberate: a shared ledger only works if every phone in the space agrees about what there is, and a block that hid a record would make your copy disagree with everyone else's. Blocking is not the same as removing somebody; only the owner of a space can do that.
Your block list is stored on your own account and is readable by nobody but you: not the person blocked, not the other members, not the owner.
11. Removing a member, and closing an account
The owner of a shared space can remove any member. Removing them ends their access at once and keeps every record they wrote, because the balances of everyone else in the space are worked out from those records and would stop adding up without them. A removed member keeps whatever balance they were holding, and the owner can clear it with Clear balance, which records the clearing in the ledger.
We may suspend or close an account that is used for anything under “What is not allowed”, that otherwise materially breaks these terms, or where the law requires it. We may do so without notice where somebody is at risk.
12. Ending it
You can stop using Pooled at any time. Delete account in the app erases your account and its data, as the Delete your Pooled account page describes. If we have to withdraw the service, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your records where we can. Sections 5, 7, 13 and 14 survive the end of these terms.
13. Disclaimers and liability
We work to keep Pooled reliable, but so far as the law allows it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that data will never be lost.
Keep your own copy. Pooled can export everything you have recorded as CSV or PDF at any time, and we recommend you use it. Without an account, your records exist only on your phone: a lost or broken phone, a forgotten app-lock PIN or an uninstall can mean they are gone. Cloud sync is a convenience, not a guarantee.
To the extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, revenue or goodwill;
- we are not liable for loss of data you could reasonably have avoided by keeping your own copy, for any dispute between you and the people you share a space with, or for a decision taken on the basis of a figure shown in the app; and
- our total liability to you for all claims about Pooled is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose and US$50.
These limits do not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or to anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Some countries and US states do not allow some of the exclusions and limits above; if you live in one of them, they apply to you only as far as your law allows. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
14. Governing law and disputes
Talk to us first. If you have a problem with Pooled, please email support@sunnyorbitapps.com first. We will try to resolve it within 30 days.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in a small-claims court that has jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer living in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another country whose laws give you the right to rely on your local consumer protections or to bring claims in your local courts, nothing in these terms takes away those rights. These terms contain no arbitration clause and no class-action waiver.
15. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, including what is allowed, we will update this page and the date at the top before shipping the release that makes the change. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you in the app, or by email if you have an account, before it takes effect. If you do not agree to the new terms, you can stop using Pooled and delete your account. The current version always lives at this URL.
